What are the nine TCM body constitutions?
Chinese medicine (per the T/CACM group standard) sorts people into nine constitutions: one balanced type and eight skewed types — qi-deficient, yang-deficient, yin-deficient, phlegm-damp, damp-heat, blood-stasis, qi-constrained and allergy-prone. Most people are a mix, with one main tendency plus secondary ones. Knowing your tendency lets you adjust diet, exercise and daily habits with the grain of your body instead of against it.
How does this quiz work?
You rate 27 statements on a five-point scale (never to always). Each constitution has its own question group; scores are converted to a 0-100 scale and the highest skewed score becomes your main tendency, with a secondary tendency shown when close behind. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is stored.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. This quiz describes wellness tendencies in the language of traditional Chinese medicine culture — it does not diagnose any condition and does not replace medical care. Professional constitution identification involves pulse, tongue and consultation with a licensed practitioner.
